My best friend and I once marathoned almost 2 seasons of Supernatural in about 36 hours. We got to the season finale at like, 5 in the morning and she was like, "Should we take a nap before finishing it?" I looked out the window at the fledgling sunrise and said, "Nah, bitches ain't goin to work yet. Play that shit." It remains, to this day, the most productive day and a half of my life.

You, my friend, have a new follower! I don't know how I didn't find you blog before. I saw that you ship Bofur/Fili, and while I don't necessarily ship them, I love reading about unique pairings and these two could certainly have a really cool dynamic. If you need some inspiration to write them: "Fili always prided himself on his drive and ability to focus solely on the task at hand. So why did thoughts of that stupid, cheeky, ridiculous-hat-wearing dwarf (who wasn't even of noble blood) keep...

oh hooray! I noticed I got a new follow, so thanks for that! you don't have to ship them, but I'm glad you're so open the idea! they're my ultimate otp.. I really like them a lot. and you're absolutely right on that interesting dynamic, and its part of the reason I like this pairing so much. they're not typical partners, since fili is a prince and all and bofur himself is a miner/toymaker, generally not considered to be too wealthy, but in the end it doesn't matter because they're well suited to each other :) I think so, anyway, with my headcanons for each and their personalities. I've spent about 37 of the last 48 hours watching Supernatural. Made one pizza run. It was the only time I left the house.

Feel so accomplished.

Tony/Pepper: "You want me to do what?"

"You want me to do what?!" Tony choked out.

Pepper didn't back down. "Tony, they're my parents. You've dealt with much less savory characters at much higher stakes."

Tony remained unmoving, pizza halfway to his mouth. Sure, he'd faced off with demi-Gods, flown a nuclear bomb into space, and survived a particularly vicious brand of ptsd that deprived him of sleep for months. Yet somehow dinner with Pepper Pots' parents scared him shitless.

Pepperoni sliding off the side of the pizza in his hand, hit him on the knee bringing his attention back to his fiancee. 

"Sure, honey. Dinner with my future in-laws sounds totally non-life-threatening. I can wear a suit, right?"

"It's nothing that form- damnit, Tony! No, you cannot wear one of your "suits" to  civilized dinner with my parents!" The look she gives him makes him swallow hard.

"Fine," he relents. "Can we at least bring Natasha? She can help break the ice with all those stupid dad jokes she's been subjecting everyone to."

"Oh will you stop being a pansy and be Tony Fucking Stark for five minutes?" she shoots back. At his raised eyebrows, she lowers her voice again and suddenly she's Pepper Pots, CEO of Stark Industries, closing a deal with a reluctant investor. "I can talk to Nat, see if she and Clint want to make it a double. How's that?"

Tony almost smiles as he considers for a second. Then he blinks over at Pepper and says, "Maybe it would be better not to add two trained killers to the mix. Besides they'll probably just make fun of us in Russian the whole time."
