Wazzup! It's your secret Santa! There's only one more sleep 'til Whouffaldimas, and your fic is sitting in my Ao3 drafts with care. I apologize if I don't post it first thing tomorrow, but, y'know, Christmas. And can you believe Clara's going to be in the Christmas special? THIS IS ALL I EVER WANTED. Realistically speaking, anyway. So, final question: How are you planning on watching it? I'm seeing it in theatres on the 28th.

No worries. I definitely could not complain since I probably won’t post mine until very late in the day (since I’m still writing mine ahhh). GOSH. I wonder what Clara’s cameo is going to be like. Selfishly, I hope it’s more than a few seconds cameo.

I think I’m going to watch it in theaters too. It’ll be my last chance to see Capaldi as the Doctor in theaters, and I really don’t want to potentially be SUPER melancholy over the holidays. Which means a self-imposed ban from my Tumblr dashboard and social media in general. It’s so strange. Every time I see Jodi, I get so so excited and am so ready to love her, but I’m also completely heartbroken over no more Twelve.

Hello :D Your whouffaldi ss again :) I just wanted to touch base with you! myself and my elves are hard at work at your Whouffaldi gift :) BUT! My internet at home is still being spotty. I'm currently at the library. I'm hoping to have your gift done by Friday so I can come to the library and post it up if my internet at home isn't working, but if for some reason I need more time there's a small chance I might have to wait until next week after Christmas, when the library is open again x

(whouffaldi ss, sorry for two asks, character limit!) I don’t blame you for not being a fan of cold weather. Only thing I like about cold weather is that I’m not sweating x] it’s good to see you are in the Christmas spirit! I’m sure your hats are great! As for the episode I’m surprised Bill is back at all! I wonder if there will be a reason or just to give her a last hurrah. I would prefer Clara though obviously. Not much more of a wait!!

I’m super excited to see what your elves have for me! I’m sure I’m going to love it. It’s totally no problem if it ends up being after Christmas, I completely understand :) I’m back home from Miami now and I already miss the warm sunny weather. It was a bit weird being at the beach and the pool right before Christmas - I’ve never spent the holiday season somewhere warm! But I did love it. It’s cold now. No more shorts and tank tops lol

I’m not super surprised Bill is back; I was happy with her ending in The Doctor Falls, but I do think she should see the Doctor one more time, I couldn’t bear him never knowing she got out alive and she’s getting to be happy. But I suppose it’s the same for Clara, she’s out there having her own adventures and the Doctor doesn’t really know for sure what’s happened to her. *small sob* wow this show wrecks me. I can’t believe there’s only five days left, I’m reallllly not ready for Peter to leave, as excited as I am for Jodie. Preparing for feels.

Hey there! It's your secret Santa once again. I hope you've had a good week. Tell me, what's your favourite Christmas episode? Mine's Last Christmas, for shamelessly shippy reasons.

Dang, I am so sorry for taking so long to reply to this. It’s basically already time for next week’s secret Santa message. This week was definitely busier than last, and my bosses give me a hilarious amount of responsibility for someone with my attention span. How about you?

Your favorite Christmas episode is my favorite as well. For the same reasons!!!! Remember that long couple months lead up to the episode when we all thought it might be Jenna’s last episode? THE ANXIETY. Followed by a magnificent pay off. Have I made my daily declaration that I missed them yet? Truth be told, that very brief moment where they’re the last two non-Santa people left on the sleigh and they just gaze at each other with star-crossed, wistful fondness—that might be my favorite moment for their run. Of course, even then, they found themselves faced with the choice of either the possibility of not being together a few seconds more or death and they both seemed to strongly entertain the latter option, which is so characteristically extra (I love it).

Other favorites are A Christmas Carol and The Snowmen in that order. Smith is a good Christmas Doctor. He has that shine to him.

Hello, it's your whouffaldiss! I loved your answer about why you like whouffaldi! I am of the opinion the Doctor can be shipped with multiple people, and I have a fondness for yowza as well as whouffaldi. But whouffaldi is deff my main ship. Are you looking forward to the holidays? Any plans? Think Clara will be in the Christmas episode? C:

Thank you! I enjoyed thinking about it. I definitely appreciate your point of view, honestly my ships fluctuate so much over time that I can generally find an appreciation for most ships. Whouffaldi is really something special though :)

I am SO looking forward to the holidays! I’ve been wearing Christmas hats every day of December (rotating between several Santa hats and reindeer hats/antlers (a la Wilfred Mott)). December is always such a grind at school because teachers all want to cram things in before break, so I’ve had a lot to do but staying in the Christmas spirit has helped me get through it. I also have been listening to my 101 song Christmas playlist since Thanksgiving :) I’m going to Miami on Saturday and staying a few days, and I’m honestly so excited for warm weather and the beach lol. As much as I like Christmas I’m not the hugest fan of winter XD I also get to see my boyfriend there, at college.

As for the Christmas episode, I really really do want Clara to be in it. Like, it seems to fit with the episode concept (stuck in a moment of time? Hm sounds familiar). And it just seems right for Twelve’s farewell. Don’t get me wrong, I’m super super happy we even get Bill back for this episode. And I don’t know how it could be possible that not a single person saw Jenna filming if she’s in it. But I still have hope haha, could be a Christmas miracle :)

Whouffaldi SS- Awesome, are you still in highschool? Also, what draws you to Whouffaldi, whats your favorite thing about it? :)

Yeah, I’m a senior in high school:) College applications are my life rn :// hdhsjs let’s not talk about that lol

Okay Whouffaldi. Gosh where do I begin? I’m gonna tell the long version because why not. I’ll start by saying it took me a long time to be sold on them as a ship. Like, I mean years. Like, I didn’t actively watch the show for all of series 8 and 9 because I didn’t think I was a fan of the pairing. I came back to the show in series 10 (don’t remember why), and discovered that I actually really really like Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, but still wasn’t convinced of something romantic between him and Clara because of the apparent age difference (apparently the hundreds or thousands of years that really separate them doesn’t faze me, heh).

And then SURPRISE I absolutely LOVED their two series together. Like Jesus Christ. People sometimes have meh comments about series 8 but I still loved it- the exploration of Clara’s relationship with the Doctor vs. her relationship with Danny was really fascinating. They make me feel a lot of feelings because of everything that goes unsaid between them. As much as I always want them to say how much they mean to each other, I also know that they know each other well enough not to have to say it. It’s interesting to have a companion who is that similar to him, because they highlight each other’s faults. Their relationship is like an addiction, and they both go too far for each other- which isn’t something I like to romanticize, but the rawness of the emotions between them and the stubborn unwillingness for either to let go is really unparalleled, and it’s kind of beautiful (in a horribly destructive way). Their relationship brings out the more human qualities in the Doctor and the superhuman qualities in Clara.

I hate to admit it, but I used to be one of the assholes that would shout to the world, “Clara and the Doctor are not in love with each other!!1!1!!!” That was also on the basis of not having watched any of their episodes together, not having experienced their chemistry, and also being a very very biased Doctor x River shipper. Looking back on that…wow I was an asshole XD But now I will go down with the Whouffaldi ship ⛵️

This was way too long of a response but honestly I’d never typed out what I like about them so it was interesting for me to think about. Thanks for asking :)
