love how you can straight up ignore established canon and make Odo's abilities more or less all-powerful magic in fic when the plot calls for it... and it doesn't break the story because 1) canon is *extremely* handwavy when it comes to how his physiology works anyway so whatever, 2) what is technically possible or not is never the limiting factor for odo. the trick is convincing him to do anything creative or outlandish. stubborn boring man
