I just want everything my way I don’t think that’s too much to ask for
I went out to dinner with 3 people my parents' age and then my grandma. It dawned on me as I'm listening to all of them, none of them say they are happy. Content was a used word over and over again. I'm good with what I have said another. Am I asking too much to want to be happy in life? Genuinely happy. Not content, or settled, or feeling like I did good enough. I want happy. When did happiness take a backseat? Why does that not seem to be important?
Love & Marriage
In high school we happen to stumble across our 1st love/highschool sweetheart or college ❤️. It's nothing like it, especially if that person equally loves you.
Most of the time though, it don't work out, you're young...you play around or think you know what you're doing until you happen to find your next true love...or what you think is. But what if that don't work out?
Do you settle for the next "best" thing that comes around, even if it's not in the package you wanted 📦...even if it's a good package "overall". Like I wonder how many marriages are from the result of just settling? Is it wrong not to want to?
I'm Not Innocent, But Neither Are You
Tell me why you get called "bitch" for standing up for yourself? Or why it's okay for you to be treated and talked to poorly and not do anything about it? I thought we were taught to stand up for ourselves and always push for the best in life. Not to settle. I'm not saying to go off on anyone that looks at you the wrong way. But why should we just take poor treatment? It's not fair. Most people will simply say "Life's not fair". But why should we accept that either?! Yes change doesn't happen over night, but maybe it would happen eventually if everybody did their part. Raise kids to know what is appropriate and inappropriate to say to someone. And just simply be a good person yourself. Now I am not claiming to be a saint because I am probably far from it, but I am tired of being made out to be a bad or mean person because I stick up for myself.

Quick question: Would you rather have slightly more hardness, or twice the amount of brilliance and fire when it comes to your gemstone?
Hint: Moissanite ranks at a 9.25 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness (compared to diamond at a 10), plus it offers 2.4 times the fire and more brilliance than any gem in the world. So #whysettle?
I'm too pretty to deal with this rn
