Finding Dory

I think that the most heartbreaking thing about this movie was that the reason Dory got lost wasn't because she forgot something like who her parents were or how they told her to stay away from the undertow, which is what she originally feared. She got lost and separated because she remembered something, that her mother liked purple shells. Trying to get her mother the shell caused her to get lost in the undertow. Dory didn't lose her parents because she forgot, she lost them because she remembered.
