I sincerely wish I wasn’t so hurt when family and friends forget my birthday or don’t say anything. What I really don’t like about myself is when I assume they must hate me when they’ve downgraded from sending presents and making elaborate posts to a simple text. This isn’t how I should measure people’s affection toward me but it’s how I end up feeling.
