At some point you’re going to want to lose the training wheels and get away from that wall. This was such a mind trip for me. I would literally have a mini panic attack, and lose my shit lasting only a couple of attempts before I’d give up and go back to Paul. 2 things got me through... 1: repetition. I joined a challenge for 100 handstands for 100 days and I took it literally 🤣. Everyday I did 100 stands; or at least 100 attempts. By putting my mind on attempts rather than completion I was able to power through and slowly the fear began to fade. (And I got some pretty strong shoulders in the process😉) 2: I found these pendulum swings rather than kicking up; and my control (and core strength) really grew! With control came confidence; confidence grew into peace; finding peace nurtured my balance of effort and ease and I started finding some great hang time. However, whatever you set your sights on; show up, give yourself time, give yourself care and enjoy the process💪🏻. For me, that’s always the point. Awareness with commitment... that’s where the lessons are... that’s one more reason #whyipractice
