It was odd.

Being away from people for short amounts of time was something Pigeon was used to, especially when the sickness she dealt with every now and again reared it's ugly head. But this time.. it was different. She didn't go back into Jamie's house when she left the hospital, she instead went to a cheap set of apartments nearby and rented one out for herself on the lowest floor. Still in the city, still close to her.. friends, but far away enough to where if they didn't want her to bother them, she wouldn't.

The reason she had been gone was her aforementioned illness striking her again out of the blue. She had been in the hospital for weaks feeling.. weak. Broken. She went ahead and shot a group text to everyone.. John, Nadiya, Kardala, Mary, Remy, Jamie. Everybody who she loved. It was simple; directions to her house if anybody wanted to stop by and a simple, 'I miss y'all'.

As it stood, she currently laid, curled up on the couch of her apartment, awaiting.. even one visitor to come by and say they still cared about her.
