More Spirit Tracks posting. Can I just say I've always loved how all the towns manage to fit the same motif across every town theme

They're all great and distinct songs on their own, but the Aboda Village motif across all of them really helps to establish a feeling of 'home' .

I love playing botw mapless it really makes you feel like a real traveler exploring Hyrule for the first time

I'm not getting towers and I'm keeping fast travel to a bare minimum so I have to keep checking signs and asking npcs for directions, and I also keep to the road more often. I've been paying a lot more attention to the scenery and terrain so I know where I'm going. It just feels really adventurous, I love it <3

I had this VIVID DAYDREAM of a Linked Universe fanfic I wanted to write but never got around to where the Chain plus Spirit Tracks Link (because OF COURSE I want him in there) ended up in Wild's Hyrule traveling through Akkala. Wild sent a message to his Zelda to meet up in Tarrey Town, where the Chain meets her for the first time.

But! Here's where the plot begins! Flora mentions that recently there's been an uptick in monster activity due to Malice, which she can't figure out since she and Wild defeated Ganon a few months ago, the Malice should have subsided. Time brings up that the Malice she is referring too must be related to the black goop/ black blood the Chain has been dealing with, implying that Dark Link has been on the loose here recently. They decide to stick around to investigate.

The next day, Time, Wild, Sky, and Flora go to check out the Torin Wetland Guardians, which have black goop on them, and they discover it's a mix of goop and Malice. The Guardians come to life unexpectedly when Dark Link comes around, and Flora jumps in front of Wild to protect him from a blow that actually infects her with this black Malice. At this point, Dark Link possesses her and uses her divine power to shroud her in a Malice-y beastial form akin to Dark Beast Ganon, which Wild is forced to fight alone, while the rest of the Chain is split up and teleported away.

The Chain is split into groups of three and wake up in the four Divine Beasts, which have not only been reactivated and repossessed by black Malice, but have been going absolute haywire. Without a Shiekah Slate, the groups have to think outside the box for solutions to calming the Divine Beasts. (Terminals don't need to be activated, just cleaned of Malice.)

The groups I tried to sort for the best solutions. At some point before the teleporting, Four had split, leaving a color with each group.

So in Medoh, there's Warriors, Wind, and Blue, with Wind and Blue using the Wind Waker and the Roc's Cape to their advantage in the air.

In Ruta, there's Spirit, Legend, and Red, with Spirit attempting to reprogram Ruta while using steam power Red and Legend make him using their fire rods and the water around them. Spirit at some point mentions he can hear the Divine Beasts calling out to save them-- not the Champions, they're gone now, the Beasts themselves.

In Naboris, there's Time and Sky, having been teleported together from the wetlands, and Green, who stumbled there with them. Time uses the deku mask to become immune to the electricity, Sky is familiar with electricity in general, and Green can use the Pegasus Boots in the boss fight against Dark Thunderblight.

So in Rudania, I wanted this entire arc with Vio. When Four split, it's because they were fighting with Vio. The LU adventure was only happening maybe a year after the events of the manga, leaving Vio still with really heavy emotions about everything that happened with Shadow, emotions he's refusing to deal with and instead bury, which throws the colors all out of synch.

He ends up there with Hyrule and Twilight, who both seem to notice there's something wrong with 'Four'. Vio is freezing up at not only the darkness (for Shadow reasons) but also the heat of Death Mountain, which reminds him of the pinnacle moment he fought Green (to trick Shadow). He's not having a great time. Twilight can see in the dark in Wolf form, leading the way through Rudania until they can light up the area, until then Hyrule has his Candle, which only lights up the immediate area and casts long shadows (which Vio is REALLY not having a good time with). Twilight can use his iron boots to stick to the walls like in the Goron Mines, and Hyrule turns into a fairy to reach the terminal behind a gated wall. Vio has bombs. Eventually they fight Dark Link, and Hyrule gets to shine due to his experience fighting his own Shadow before, but Dark Link keeps taunting Vio by turning into him-- an almost exact replica of Shadow. Vio eventually comes in clutch and deals the final blow, completing his arc by finally facing his buried trauma head on and realizing that yeah, maybe he should be working through this with his brothers.

Upon clearing the Beasts (at around the same times) they all end up in Hyrule Field to finally help Wild, who is so happy to see them he's moved to tears. They all fight Dark Beast Flora together, and eventually use Spirit's Bow of Light with one of Time's Light Arrows to dissipate the Black Malice. Flora is freed and healed, Dark Link is driven away, and the Chain has overcome another great feat of epicness!! Cue some ending fluff and comfort.

As you can image, this while plot is really detailed-- too detailed for my spazzy brain to put into words, so,, I probably won't make it into an actual fic. But I wanted SO BADLY to get this story out there so AAAAAAAAAA YEAH

You guys if we had the chance to adapt any one of the Zelda games into one of those 80's puppet movies like the Labyrinth or Dark Crystal or something,,, which game would you choose

You think he might've blamed himself for not being vigilant enough when the Deku Tree died? You think he might've blamed himself when Link left the forest-- forever, as far as he knew? You think he might've blamed himself for not going after Sariah into the lost woods, from which she'd never come back?
