Working on that Jiuyuan fic, the one from this post here. Figured I'd drop some thoughts/notes that might get lost in my outline.

YQY and SJ definitely reconcile, but it's awkward afterward since SY had to force it. YQY legit didn't admit anything until almost the last minute in canon, so I think it fits here given how things are gonna change. I love Qijiu, but this fic won't be that. Maybe sometime after the ending, they'd end up in a poly situation. What happens is that YQY does get slightly more trust offered. Like, SJ will pick him when he needs help. YQY is the first one to hold the baby besides the parents. Lots of trust for someone like SJ. Not impressive to anyone else, but it means the world to YQY.

SY still wifebeams everyone. SJ is having a bad time.

While I love any excuse to make polycules, this fic won't have it. I'm working out so you could totally see LBH, YQY, or LQG getting added in some way, but that's up to the reader after the story is over.

SJ would love to atticwife SY, but at least gets some of the lessons that LBH did in canon about why you shouldn't do that. SY would be miserable if he was trapped and SJ just had to eat his feelings about letting his fish out of his sight.

The punishment protocol is seen a few times. No one has a good time here.

I like the idea of 'stress of being pregnant despite how that shouldn't be possible' teaming up with 'oh no binghe in abyss, canon happening, we're all so dead' happening at once for poor SY.
