Out of the Mist was originally meant to be a temporary title for the song, almost a joke: it was given by Luna with the foggy Pianura Padana in mind. Banshee then decided she wanted to write lyrics for that song keeping the title, but with a different meaning: the mist as the uncertainty from which we try to emerge in life. The lyrics were written as a form of revenge on ourselves, going through fire and shame to find a better self and a renewed sense of freedom from the past. Banshee loves quoting books she loves, hence the parts “Unbound, unbent” referred to House Martell of Game of Thrones and “Out of the mist I wander, lost no more” as a tribute to the famous Tolkien quote “Not all those who wander are lost”. ~ #wickedasylum #outofthemist #behindthelyrics #instamusic #trivia #triviaoftheday #lyrics #metallyrics (presso Como, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAfqtj5gJ1u/?igshid=6y1wwjpxtkm7
