Remember those walls I built

She didn't make the bed, she didn't walk the dog, she didn't kiss anyone good morning. She just didn't feel like it. She felt like wandering, just to feel the smells of the street, the wind on her face, the sense of wideness that could make her feel so excited and full of plans and ideas. And after a walk a long shower, with warm, practically hot water. Even knowing we have to save water, even knowing hot shower isn't good for your skin, those things that ain't right, but are so good. Because the smell of soap and foam against the hot water was so good it made her smile. And she showers thinking we go through life as if an engine running, not knowing why or when or anything. Not paying attention, not even feeling sometimes. Feels there is nothing a warm shower can't cure after all. When was it the last time you run to meet up someone and tell some great news? When was it the last time you jumped out of happiness and excitement? When was it the last time you couldn't wait to hear or tell the news? Thinking it is lovely to feel excited even with a simple note sent from far away, or with a convo that goes on and on just for the sake of it, or with unexpected things that happen everyday. Thinking we are the ones who put value to the things surrounding us. Thinking we are the ones building walls that prevent any wave from hitting us -either a wave of happiness, excitement, joy, enthusiasm, or love. Let the waves hit you, feel them with every pound of you, feel and enjoy. Not only let those waves hit you, go search for them. Search and embrace, welcome them even when the water is too cold and they end up being too tall.
