Don't let teachers like that ruin your grades. Even on days when you doubt your abilities, please keep going. 40% of a grade is still better than not showing up for the test because you thought you couldn't do it.
Maybe find a YouTube teacher who has a communication / teaching style that makes SENSE to you.

Join all the extracurricular you like, but be sure to also join clubs taht help you be better at what you've gone to uni to learn. Say if you're studying business, the entrepreneurial club might be a good place for you to start. So would the debate team. If you're studying design, the art club would help you mix what you learn with a fun hobby!

Always be mindful of the company you keep. Uni brings a lot of freedom, soar, enjoy it, but at the end of the day remember your roots and the promises you get you made when she was praying for this opportunity. Don't neglect your studies.
