Sunday Adventures. Part 1. You know that feeling when you just have to get to the sea because it's only a one hour drive--and you go even though it's a grey lousy day because the ocean will make it all worthwhile! Viareggio -- all the Instagram photos are gorgeous and Instagram don't lie. Right? Then you find a GD Carnivale going on which totally blocks your access! Wait a minute -- what are these Italians thinking? Carnivale is for Fat Tuesday! Not every damn Sunday in February! The weather in Minneapolis has been as expected. Damn cold. Crispy yet slippery snow. Fierce winds. People who don't shovel their walks rendering a hostile running environment. Yesterday, I looked real cool and shiny with Vaseline and moisturizer all over my face. And the neon yellow vest added a certain je ne sais quoit I my ensemble.
