Normally, I post a vlog showing how I made a full cosplay, but I want to try things different by showing one piece of a cosplay in more depth. Today, I’ll show you how I styled my Hikaru wig from Magic Knight Rayearth.

A long version of me styling Steve Harrington’s wig from Stranger Things was requested, so here it is!
The short (time-lapse) version can be found here: https://youtu.be/l2j-PfbLtHM
If anyone wants long versions of my other wig styling videos, please let me know!
Sharing this to help out fellow cosplayers who have to make difficult hairstyles.
I had a pretty hard time to decide on how I should style Mic’s hair because I wanted it to be sturdy enough to survive transport, but also lightweight to avoid any headaches during the day. I looked around for quite a while if I could find any hints or tricks on extravagant wigstyling, but I wasn’t satisfied with foam cores or wire-skeletons which apparently are the usual procedure in such cases.
In the end I got inspired by malindachan’s Kaito Tenjo wig tutorial on Deviantart and mixed it with hints my friends gave me based on their own experiences. The result you can see in my tutorial :D

Please show me your work you used my tutorial for, I’d love to see and reblog them!! :D

The audio is taken from the video, but it is a Horn Wig Tutorial, and I think it could be very useful for a lot of people! It still has written instructions and still seems very easy to use.
