Personally I think that everything that can be read romantically regarding the Creature and Elizabeth is better/more interesting if you don't read it romantically. Like yeah sure she's said to have an "attraction" to him and the Creature is assumed to want a bride but guess who said both of those things? Victor. Sure Elizabeth's wedding dress is inspired by Elsa Lanchester's Bride of Frankenstein, but doesn't it tie in to her character as an outsider so much better if that dress casts her as one like the Creature? Not a literal bride but one who is the same as him, spiritually if not physically? Doesn't it fit so much better with the themes of living and humanity and connection for the Creature to have found a friend and understanding in her?

In honor of a very successful cosplay at an event attended by many wonderful people, here's a photo album of my Wasp cosplay on Saturday at TFCon Chicago! More pictures/info under the cut.

A little breakdown on the outfit itself: Overall, very comfortable while still being cartoonish enough for my liking! The vest is a green jacket that I dyed a slightly brighter green, whose sleeves found a second life as leg warmers/boot covers while keeping the color palette cohesive. The striped tights were a basic Halloween find, and I repurposed another solid color pair of tights for the long sleeves of the shirt. Add a black tank top, shorts, and of course, purple glasses, and I had a decently recognizable TFA Wasp on my hands!

Additionally, I had an incredible friend in @oyamird as Bumblebee! We walked together in the cosplay showcase, found an Animated Shockwave, got a picture with Jim Sorenson, and of course, fought like hell. I had an amazing time, and thank you to everybody who said hi or grabbed a picture!
