The lands of the spirits are fertile places. Death does not end us, only transforms.
And I will dive as deep as necessary.

So many of you are welcoming fall, with it's hot chocolate, gorgeous colours, and quiet times with a warm rug and a good book.
But here in my part of the world it is suddenly spring, and within the last week, almost everything on my daily walk has burst into flower.
I love it all. Autumn, spring. All of it.
A different sort of book today - this gorgeous journal (chosen for me by one of my kids) contains every detail of character, setting, and timeline - as well as a bunch of juicy quotes - I need to keep track of for the Wilde Grove series.

Usually, I keep track of this sort of thing on the computer, but I went old-school and tactile for this one.

Sewing ritual clothes. I started making these this year, based on Viking, and iron age Celtic designs. I began by doing just the finishing by hand, but didn't feel like getting up and using the machine one day, so now they're something I completely hand stitch. And my stitching is improving hugely! I find this work soothing, calming, and meditative. We all need that sort of thing. What do you do that brings you a sense of peace and calmness?

When I was much (much) younger, I kinda wanted to get a tiny crescent moon tattooed on my forehead - inspired by Mists of Avalon.

I've jus reminded myself I'm getting my new author photos done this week. I have a very pagan tattoo, but it's on my arm, not my face - so you're not going to see it.
