Confessions of an addict

I’m one of those who struggles on the inside

I’ve found so many recipes but none coincide

Part of a generation that should have died

Countless of near encounters but not that we’ve tried

...

We play out the war of the pacifist. To strong to care, to weak to be an activist.

Drowning in our thoughts but attempting to keep afloat

At the time seeming content but not like we hoped. 

we’ve been at our best, and lived at our worst

It’s almost independent to survive with a build in curse

...

The day ends with how it begins, wanting to fly

And that’s how a generation found love at the end of a high.

I’m just a broken man, and I hope you understand

I did as much as I can, but i’m still breathing

And can’t you see, how much it’s done to me

I’m born to loose, I’m made to be abused

By you, am I still breathing?

I’m just a simple man, of simple plans

Just be as happy as I can, and i’m still breathing

It’s something I can’t explain, how’m I still breathing

And I can’t swim, I ain’t born to win
