Let’s take Oympus - The Gods have always been generous with their seed with gestures of both disdain and favourism. Today the families that descended from those they favoured and blessed (or cursed?) with special gifts make up the board of global player “Olympus Corp.” Every four years the families meet in the shadow of Mount Olympus to elect the board following the old Greek rites of vote. Those who display special abilities have a bright future both in the company and the families, but those who don’t show any remarkable gift by the time they turn twenty-one are left with the choice to marry someone of their family’s choice or be disowned. Alexandria Hayward, Alex for short (FC Zoey Deutch) is almost certain that (despite promising parentage) she hasn’t been blessed (or cursed) when she suddenly starts having violent visions. Those soon seem to be coming true when she almost dies during a fire in their training facility. Quiet and soft, Caleb Montgomery (FC Matthew Daddario) has never told anyone that his gift first manifested when he was still a child and that it has been his best kept secret ever since. That is until the fire in the training facility forces him to reveal his gift - when he very literally pulls Alexandria from the banks of River Styx and back to the land of the living.

Now thousands of years later the favours’ descendants meet every sixteen years in the shadow of Mount Olympus to pick their strongest, brightest and most gifted to determine who will rule their empire - both worldly and otherworldly - for the next four times four years. Alexandria Hayward, Alex for short (FC Zoey Deutch) shows signs of becoming a great seer, but it seems something (or someone?) is keeping people from listening to her prophecies. This leads to her almost dying during a fire in their training facility that she foresaw. Lynn Song (FC Arden Cho) - Alexandria’s best friend. Funny, blunt, loyal and as ‘ordinary’ as they come. Knows absolutely every supernatural detail about Alex and the others and is probably captain of the Alex & Caleb ship.

Allegra Hayward (FC Freya Mavor) - Alexandria’s older cousin. Pretty, poised and perfect in every way her family could possibly want. Always somewhat in competition with Alex, but considering how hard their grandmother is pitting the young women against each other, they get along well.

Genevieve Montgomery (FC Alexandra Daddario) - Caleb’s older sister. Telepath. Stunningly beautiful and - according to Alex - absolutely terrifying. Spent the last two years in Italy, but returns to England shortly after the fire. Her ability intimidates most people, but she is fierce and loyal and would do absolutely everything to make sure her little brother is safe and happy.
