THE IMP BAZAAR

There is a wall keeping forces of great evil from entering city streets, but what stands to protect the walls of living hearts and those inside every home?

The fabled imp bazaar has arrived and only you can keep their greedy hands from snatching your coins along with your trust. Imps are creatures of misfortune. They are selfish and sadistic, tools of dark masters, and enjoy witnessing and inflicting pain. However, this bazaar is made up of imps who have turned from a life of service into one of business. Very few living will ever tread the darkest depths imps can reach without consequence and that is why what this collective has to offer is so rare and alluring.

Love potions, shapeshifting elixirs, powerful hallucinogens, cursing spells, cures. The imps have brought it all with them, but what is advertised might not always bring favorable results onto buyer or victim. This breed is known for switching labels and spreading misinformation if only to watch a bit of chaos and end up rich in the process. Officials who have received word of this arrival ask the public to not engage or invite the illegal bazaar into their home, but curiosity and desperation are much more powerful tools than human authority.

How to invite the imp bazaar: Imps appearance: Bug like to avoid detection Each and every door in Klamenth Falls will receive a scrap of paper one morning this week. On it will be scribbled a single word one might be familiar with or new to the buyer altogether. Keep this paper safe and secret. It is a bewitched password only you can use. Find yourself a private place that has a wall you can face. Somewhere quiet where you are sure to be alone without interruption. A friend or two are permitted to join in on the sale, not a crowd, but only one buyer’s coin should be lined on the floor. Only the buyer with the password in hand should speak. Take your coin purse and empty it on the floor, lining each coin out in a straight row in any order. This is your offering and the imp can pick and choose one, a few, or collect all of the coins that spark their interest. Do not offer anything more, otherwise the imp will take it as an invitation to make a permanent home out of your full property--a most miserable fate. Once the coins are lined out, take hold of your password, face the wall and say what is written on the paper only once very clear. Out of the woodwork will appear the imp with its handmade wagon behind. Say what you want, take it, and allow the imp to collect its coin in peace before carrying on its way. Remember: There are no guarantees that what you were given will do as promised. The imp will give what it deems fair. Your beauty, kindness, and money will not impact the creatures choice. After they leave, it is up to the buyer to trust the transaction, take the risk, or dispose of the item quickly.

The most common issue Klamenth Falls faces with the untimely arrival of the Imp Bazaar is one of ignorance. Imps are simple creatures, but a misstep of the above instructions can lead to permanent disasters. While the police force fights the imp market, buyers are forced to keep quiet and not seek education on how to handle the transaction. Witches and demons commonly know of imps natures so it is wise for buyers to seek out neighbors of such species.

OOC: Players do not have to participate in this event should their character(s) hold no interest in what the imps offer. Those who do choose to play it out for a bit of fortune or chaos should still follow the roleplay rules as far as extreme plotting is concerned (murder, god modding, suicide, etc...). Ask Mod Blue and Lea if you want to buy a potion/spell that could kill a character, impregnate them, or effect other characters/the whole town. You need permission. Players can write this as a self para or a pairing/small group para. See the instructions above for details. If what the character buys will effect another players character you MUST ask for permission from the player first. Have fun with plot but do not god mod.

PROHIBITION BIRTHDAY BASH

A revolution is nothing without it’s rebels and who can pass up a good time?

You are formally invited to the party of the century: Kennedy Lucchese’s Annual Birthday Celebration

Though fun loving and outspoken, very little is known about Kennedy; her history before moving to humble Klamenth Falls, or the sizable family who stand as shadows from behind. Many secrets will be revealed by attending this unique gathering. Most notable: the money, the outrageousness, and the influence. The invitation states that there will be no police surveillance or curfew intervention through the evening--unheard of in the town that has used some level of security at events of every size to date. This claim will leave the invitee in disbelief, even fearful, or feeling bold enough to test the family’s merit by attending.

Themed around Speakeasy’s of the 1930′s, guests are invited to dress their best while behaving at their worst. Due to easy access to magic, this themed bash will be given a new twist with a bewitched celestial ceiling and mirages of wild tigers prowling each room. Towers of champagne will be poured beneath radiant chandeliers to add some glitz to the black and gold interior. If regular interactions get too heated or dull the indoor pool and hot tubs are guaranteed to lighten any mood.

This party is your trip to the stars. Play polite or start a fight. Eat your cake. By dawn, Klamenth Falls will enter a new age.

What’s in store: A full, authentic, 1930′s party theme: music, dress, floor to ceiling design. Table settings customized with name plates, golden cutlery, and fine china for each attendee. A five course meal catered by Gordon Ramsay’s Private Dining who were flown in from London for this special event. (vegan options available) Open bar, champagne table, appetizers and desserts both catered outside of town with special themed macaroons and dipped strawberries from Rockin’ Roll bakery. Photo-op section with a giant crescent moon drop, gold and black balloon drop, or 1930′s police station lineup drop. Cockatoos, tucans, and parrots viewing and pictures handled by the Klamenth Falls Zoo. Fireworks in the night sky and sparklers for guests when the clock reaches midnight; guests can gather out on the porch or enjoy them poolside from the clear glass indoor skylight above. A decorated rose garden, fountain, and maze for those looking for a more quiet escape. Dark satin, silk, velveteen bedrooms for each guest to occupy once the festivities come to a close.

There will be no special tag assigned for starters on this event, just use wildstatestarter! This event should mainly be enjoyed on the dash and remain open for all to participate and jump in, but we welcome any other method of writing so long as this is posted and shared on the dash before the event ends.

As the May full moon enters a period of wane, remaining magic stored within its forceful pull on the earth lingers above the town of Klamenth Falls. Residents who cast their eyes, heart, and wishes to the midnight sky throughout the year will receive answers projected through heavenly light. Supernaturals who suffered the moons punishment will rest and heal more peacefully as their heads fill with pleasant dreams. The most wonderful fantasy one could dream up. Humans will be effected by this waning crescent the same way. True believers wont want to wake from this perfect world they visit.

Where is paradise; home, a distant place they wish to visit one day, or is it right where they lay? If not alone who would they want to be there with them; someone in town, from the past, or already long gone? Perhaps a group of people dear to them? Why is this place so much better than their reality; what hardships do they face daily, secrets and pains they wish didn’t exist, scars they would give anything to remove from their spirit? What form do they appear as; as they are now, young or old, or something/someone else entirely (more beautiful, more successful, a different species)? Would this paradise be something stemmed from religion, reality, or a dark place that no one else knows of? What do they hear, smell, taste, touch, think, feel of it all?

Do they want to stay here forever... can they tell this is only a fantasy... will reality be more precious than any wish they made to the stars?

OOC Info: This is not a ‘full’ moon event so does not include the transformation of supernatural creatures which passed days prior. Instead, this is an after effect of the full moon’s magical pull and will be effecting any character who’s wished upon a star or dreamily gazed at the nighttime sky since moving to Klamenth Falls.

Klamenth Falls’ discovery lit a match. On the holy night, Sunday, at the peak of the Equinox, hunters cloaked in black will take steps from every corner of the forest. Aimed for town.

Many are adorned with protective gear, masks, but all have a sort of weapon in hand. From a crowbar, silver dagger, to burning liquor bottles. Their goal? Light Klamenth Falls up. Starting with town square, businesses, and testing their old limitations by creeping on neighborhoods. Some will choose to merely scare residents and others have violence in mind or even worse; kidnapping.

Residents have a number of options: run and hide, take steps to protect their business or each other, stand up and fight back, or darn a disguise to join the riot.

Disclaimer: Kidnapping, injury and murder/death are on the menu with this event, but remember you need mod approval to carry out these main three themes! Not everyone can cut throats, end up kidnapped or lose a limb. We’ve gotta spread things out and keep it even, choose your options wisely and consider the advantage of putting your character in the victim position. On the same note, if you need this event to be your characters ‘empowered’ moment where you play with their supernatural powers etc, again, just hit us up first! Three days of dawn healed the small town of Klamenth Falls of many pains. It felt like tragic history could finally be abandoned as spring swept through the forest. Brought harmony to the hearts of so many. A new start for all.

Those days revealed what most might assume, but one travesty no one ever would have predicted: a corpse.

Officials were called in when the body was uncovered by a small family picnicking at the edge of Four Points Park. The discovery rattled local groups who witnessed and heard second hand. Word spread. Fast. Despite police attempts to keep the news under wraps.

More information has been leaked out the past two days and the word ‘hunter’ rattles the public’s cage. Some out of fear, others disgust, and then there are those with hatred few wish to understand. After analysis of the body, there is no more room for denial. Hunters are in Klamenth Falls. Circling. Taunting. Trapping. Waiting for the right moment to strike just as they have in previous months. Further information was uncovered through a mobile phone found on the body. This human hunter had communication with government officials. More notably The Great Pro-Supernatural Senator Barry Deven. How could this be, when the man spent a third of his lifetime fighting for the rights of the supernatural? He is the reason Klamenth Falls exists.

For now, it is no more than a conspiracy theory, but the leak was clear. The connection is there, but who would believe a town filled with misfit supernaturals? Why would such creatures claim the father of their movement is a leader of hunters? Also, can Klamenth Falls’ own Mayor John Calley be trusted or is he part of this despicable plot?

Days after this news was dropped, officials were seen arresting a resident outside of Third Eye. The demon Alistair, and witnesses have mentioned that devilish smirk spread over his face throughout the process of being cuffed and assisted into the squad car. After a day of questioning, Alistair left the police station, scot-free.

The Equinox Festival, also known as the Spring Festival, or Klamenth Falls’ famous Art Festival is a local favorite! As the last patches of ice melt away to welcome a vibrant springtime a number of species put their best foot forward to help with natures process. Quite literally for some, such as the witches, nymphs, elementals, fae, or even grander creatures who have blessed this town with their presence and protection.

While magical creatures prepare for the Equinox celebration and rituals, others are participating in their own way. Downtown opens its doors wide to display their goods while the tattoo parlour and art gallery set up exterior galleries for show and tell as well as selling. For artists, hobbiest, DIYers, and craft fanatics who don’t want to split their share of earnings main street has been closed for the weekend to prop up tables and tents. Magical residents may look to get their slice of the pie by selling their custom potions and elixirs, spell books, jewelry. Local farmers also visit the city to sell fresh produce, flowers, and food trucks are guaranteed to roll in among other well known vendors. Musician’s looking to earn really great cash are encouraged to take a chance atop center stage which can be found at the very end of main streets line of merchants.
