heiress helena eagan runs away, fed up with her family's expectations, and joins the circus. on one of her stops, she meets mark scout - unbeknownst to her an employee of her dad's corporation - when he takes eleanor, his niece, on a fun outing.

eleanor, out of everyone and everything she sees in the circus tent, is charmed by helly. the girl who regales the audience with fantasy tales and songs. she insists on meeting her and mark makes it happen.
