Brittany (Brit) Ward (F)
1992: Brittany is smart but troubled. She is very protective of her cousin Lexie. She is hit the hardest when Lexie disappears. She sticks out a bit with group, but they are her oldest friends.
2002: Divorced and happily single. She returns to her home town only to be haunted by the mystery of what happened to her cousin. Brittany is hesitant to return to the last place she saw her cousin because she has her own child to think about.
Ashley (Ash) Culpepper (M/F)
1992: Ashley dreams of getting out of town and being anything else. The resident goth kid of the group Ashley takes the role more seriously than required. Ashley has a tough home life and does their best to cope with that. Ashley was the immediate suspect in Lexie's disappearance though nothing was ever proven.
2002: Ash has changed from who they were in high school. Though some sharp edges remain, what happened in 1992 changed them. Ash is eager to return to the woods if it means proving they had nothing to do with it.
Lexie (Lex) Pearson (F)
1992: Lexie has led as sheltered of a life as her mother can provide. Since her father left nothing as been the same. Eager to go camping she could never have imagined how the night would end.
2002: Still Missing
The Reporter: Jessica Hayes (Female)
From Bryson City. Jessica remembers when Lexie went missing. Though never close with the group in school she lived a few lots down from Lexie and knew she was a sweet girl.
For the ten year anniversary of Lexie going missing Jessica writes an article for the local paper. It reignites the whispers in town and makes everything that much more difficult. She can either be a great asset or a huge thorn in your side.
The Occult Researcher: Wyatt Greene (Agender)
A traveling researcher into all things occult, though with a specialization into creatures. Wyatt wonders into Bryson City by sheer coincidence it seems.
Drawn by the rumors and whispers from surrounding areas it has hunch about what happened to Lexie. Knowledgeable but guarded, Wyatt will either be a resource or something much worse.

Your high school sweetheart ( or were they?), small towns aren't always the most accepting especially after someone goes missing. A believes you are innocent, but to protect them you break things off.
