William Phoru decided that for his final test for the reader. He has them prank Edel and draw each of the paintings with her in it. They succeed but now they have to escape from the mansion with Sebastian and the Elgang hunting them.
There’s something absolutely terrifying about being chased by an angry butler and a screeching town mayor.
How is Edel chasing you, when she’s confined to a chair? Apparently, this particular chair is enchanted to move. It’s actually horrifying. Her chair is keeping up easily with Sebastian as they both chase you down the winding halls of her mansion. You have all the drawings, you just need to get out.
That might be another problem, though. Finding the exit. Too late, you realize this giant-ass Victorian mansion is basically a maze. Oops.
Maybe this will be the first one of William’s tests that you’ll fail, you think, and skid to a stop. Shit. Dead end. You see no way out, and Sebastian and Edel are closing in.
“Guys,” you say with an ingratiating smile, “Can’t we just work this out-”
Sebastian is cracking his knuckles. You sprint towards him, duck around both him and Edel, and continue running, praying to Ishmael that she’ll help you.
