food for thought, but how about Will taking Mack to cape cod during the summer and Grace is pestering them about sunscreen for the first few days but eventually they start to remember it.

Will shoves the bottle into Mack's hands, while his skin is already glistering and a bit oily and smells like full on summer. Mack rolls his eyes but does spray his arms, and chest and rubs some onto his face like a possessed raccoon then turns to Will again.

"can you do my back?"

"yeah." Will is already gesturing to him to turn and as soon as Mack does he starts spraying the cold sunscreen onto his already heated skin.

Mack shrieks and tries to jolt away, but Will grabs his elbow to stop him from moving away. Mack keeps jerking with every new cold patch of cream hitting his back until he whines a little. "enough, it's dripping down already."

with a curious hum Will stops and starts smoothing the cream over Mack's skin, his palm flat on Mack's lower back, seemingly smearing the sunscreen all over. he looks around and takes a tiny step closer leaning into Mack's space, his lips almost brushing the shell of his ear.

"i don't remember you complaining last night."

Mack wants to act scandalised, clutching his peals, gasping and swatting Will's bicep, but no one is around, so he let's himself sink into the touch instead, slightly shivering, his temple pressed against Will's forehead, leaning in to steal a kiss, his breath is shuddering. "that's different. ‘s not cold.”

See this is what's puzzling with Will. Why does he not want Mack involved like Gabe? We all clocked how little Coleen knew about Mack. Yes he's an adult not under her roof unlike Gabe in Boston. But she's attended so many games you would think she's gotten to know him a bit more? Bill seems to have spend time with him but we will never hear from that source.

or may be this summer Will might actually invite Mack back to Boston given they know each other better 🤷🏼‍♀️

Actually I noticed that she knows a lot about his junior career and where he played but on a personal level not so much (she probably gets all the gossip from Cat).

You know I have a theory and don’t come for me.

Will is keeping Mack away from his mom because he feels ike she interferes in everything? Maybe he’s scared if she sees them together all the time she will suspct something (I think he failed that aspect but he’s not the brightest so 😂)

I don’t think Will ever had a friend as an independent adult who was just his without parents interference, school rules or being part of a friend group.

Mack is the first one he made independently of that and in a way he’s precious to him. That’s my reasoning on why he wants to keep him to himself.

On inviting him that puzzles me too because the entire planet knows how close they are? Why not invite him to the Boston Smith family resort that houses 100 people every summer?🤣

On Mack: also Macklin can invite Will to his Vancouver home as well, it’s a two way street nonnie, but someone has a make a move and not worry about losing face.
