Helmer Osslund (Sept. 22, 1866 - 1938) was a Swedish painter. He lived in America for a while as a young man to study engineering. Later he worked in Swedish porcelain and ceramics factories, but his life choice was painting. He was a student of Paul Gauguin’s and later of the Danish sculptor and painter J.F. Willumsen.
Here is an autumn landscape Osslund was commissioned to do in 1907. It was part of a suite of the four seasons, but only this piece has been preserved and was donated to the Swedish National Gallery.
