DEFINITION ⦂⠀Someone who feels like recovery is impossible or out of reach (right now), aren't (yet) capable of getting better, and are consistently affected by trauma, disability/disabilities, or other experiences.
This term is made by someone who is pro-recovery, and the bracketed language was added to express that, while I also didn't want to lose the gravity of hopelessness wilted individuals may feel.
Anything can be added if it feels significant alongside oneself being wilted; even if it isn't necessarily the source of trauma. Example: a wilted lesbian may identify as such not because being a lesbian is what one wants to recover from, but because being a lesbian is apart of recovery when it comes to accepting oneself, being a lesbian is intrinsically tied to one's experience, or any other personal experience that wilted aims to give room for.
