I had some good friends from Lincolnshire visit yesterday - I was over at theirs the other week and the kids were having their rooms decorated - my gift to them both is an illustration for their rooms.... Tom is a footy fan so his reflects his teams colours as well as compliments his new grown up room decor and Tilly had chosen rose gold, greens and house plants for her room, so I thought this cheese plant is very appropriate. Nella seconda metà degli anni ottanta, il Wimbledon F.C. salì alla ribalta delle cronache non tanto per meriti sportivi, ma per essere una squadra rozza e violenta, composta da un gruppo di criminali, picchiatori, delinquenti e senza Dio. Disse Alf Ramsey, storico C.T. della nazionale inglese campione del mondo del 1966, che se il calcio fosse lo sport dell'inferno, il Wimbledon le partite in casa le giocherebbe nel girone degli stronzi. Beasant, Goodyear, Phelan, Jones, Young, Thorn, Gibson, Cork, Fashanu, Sanchez, Wise. Undici nomi che oggi, nel bene o nel male, vengono ancora ricordati col nome di "the crazy gang".
