please tell me werewolf sanji and vampire zoro lore! can zoro turn into a bat as well?
The thing is, they don't have one lore! I have at least three (four?) AUs with them and they are not always consistent.
The smallest one is a comedy one, where I just test various traditional vampire and werewolf lore for no reason at all other than sillies. Things like “Vampires are physically unable to enter someone's home without an invitation, so Zoro just stands in the kitchen doorway because Sanji kicked him out and won't invite him back.” So he probably can here!
In the other two, their monster lore is more compatible (at least at the moment). In one, I simply inserted the Werewolf Sanji and Vampire Zoro into the canonical world and story. I honestly didn't think much of it yet. In the last AU (my main one), the action is set in a world with the vibe and ✨aesthetics✨ of the interwar period. (That AU actually also splits into two AUs but whatever)
In this world, Zoro was born human and later vampirized by Dracule Mihawk (via a cut on his chest). Zoro has a general idea about vampires but when he becomes one this knowledge turns out to be quite superficial, but he doesn't seem too concerned about the changes, accepting this as a new reality and that's about it. He can still go out in the sun, but it tires him out faster so he often takes naps during the day. Also, I know that in some interpretations vampires are dead and their hearts don't beat, which is not true for Zoro. He is very much alive and bleeds “rotten blood” (not completely literal I think, characteristic for this type of monster). He still discovers vampire abilities (passively).
Sanji is a werewolf most likely from birth. Werewolves can take the form of a “beast wolf,” which is a little scary, a little awkward. In this AU, transformation is not something that can usually be done on cue, and when it happens it can cause problems - the werewolf then becomes more animalistic in thought as well.
As for the setting of the story, in version one Sanji works in Baratie and finds a bleeding out Zoro in the alley behind the restaurant (after his fight with Mihawk). That's their first meeting. In the second version, Baratie receives their wine supply from Dracule Mihawk. Zoro lives with him and Perona (yay, Goth Vampire family) and the boys get to know each other through their parents' (?) business. They probably have rocky start tho.
