she was a hard one to design, cause i feel like there's such a wide variety of gorgeous designs for her, that it was hard to think of what direction to even go with. i think this brownish tortie point look turned out p nice tho! the daisy i gave her was inspired by the Moriningflower of everlong pmv (it's v good, i def recommend it). i also gave her some gorse flowers for obvious reasons.

i'm for sure not gonna follow the retcon of her, Ashfoot, and Onestar, being siblings. bitches just spawned in or something, idc. i also don't like Cloudrunner being her mate, so i'm ignoring that too lol. maybee as a surrogate thing, but mostly i prefer if her mate was unknown. the last thing these cats is any more relation to each other lmao

anyways, love this gal. she's just one of those iconic first arc queens y'know?

Sedgewhisker

as a lover of Gorstail and Beechfur, i also have a huge soft spot for their daughters. i had a lot of fun designing Sedgewhisker based of her parents. while i don't have an official design for Gorsetail yet, i've drawn her a couple times, so i just went off that. even then, Sedge was a tricky one to figure out, and her colors are kinda wonky, both on my laptop and phone. ah well tho. i still think she looks p cute <3

since she's usually seen w her mom, i definitely hc that they're close. i imagine losing Swallowtail and Thistleheart only made them closer. and then later Beechfur too (since i hc that his kids knew about him and were also close w him)

i can't believe Sedgewhisker is a literal grandma now. both her daughters have kids hjkjk. one of Sedgewhisker's grandkids is Whistlepaw, so that's rly cool. i think Whistlepaw and Frostpaw should get together and continue the family legacy of falling for riverclan cats lmao

Sedgewhisker is just a cool funky lady to me. i hope she continues to be a commonly seen windclan bg cat. also hopefully another scene or two with her and her mom <33

oh side note, i just looked at the trivia on her wiki page, and apparently in an earlier draft, Fernstripe was her daughter. i love that actually, seeing as Fernstripe moved to thunderclan to be with Shellfur. i might go ahead and hc that now
