Thank you for this detailed explanation! I definitely didn’t know the context here, but it’s clear some careful attention was made to her name choice.

It’s kinda more at the ‘lol they named her waifu’ crowd because, shocker, there are more contexts than that of the English language

One could argue that a child born into that level of entitlement and privilege was doomed from the start. His father would have corrupted him with ideas of superiority even if the Sin Eaters weren't a factor. Its sad, but it reflects how many children born into wealth become horrible adults. I’d like my odds with FFXIV, though! In FFXIV, we have a lot of privileged kids who grew up to be very good eggs, such as:

- Cid nan Garlond

- Alphinaud Leveilleur 

- Emmanellain Fortemps (this one took a punch to the face but still)
