Microsoft, 1995 yılında Rolling Stones‘un şarkısı Start Me Up ile Start- Başlat menüsünü hayatımıza sokmuştu. Fakat Windows 8 çıktığında bu düğme ve menünün olmadığı farkedildi. Windows 8.1‘in çıkmasıyla umutlanan kullanıcılar gene hayal kırıklığına uğradı. Hatta Microsoft Başlat Menüsü isteyenleri görmezden bile geldi.
Fakat dün ani bir kararla Microsoft, Build 2014 toplantısında bir açıklama yaparak, Başlat menüsünün geri döneceğim haberini verdi. Fakat menü 8.1 Update 1 güncellemesi ile birlikte gelecek. 20 yıldır hayatımızda olan Başlat menüsüne Windows 8.2 güncellemesiyle kavuşacakmışız gibi gözüküyor.
