Windpaw from the RiverClan Windpaw is my Warriors OC, and he belongs to me
Windkit > Windpaw > Windclaw Kit > Apprentice > Warrior ShadowClan - Dark Forest - Trans Tom Daughters: Strongbreeze, Spottedjay Mentor: Silverspring Apprentices: Beetlespots, Stumpywhisker
Windkit was born as a she-kit to an unnamed ShadowClan mother and WindClan father. He was born in ShadowClan, and every cat in camp knew of his mother's affair. The clan's eyes were always on him, and he felt their judgement. When he was roughly three moons, his mother perished, and he was left alone. But he bonded with the only other kit in the nursery, two moons older Frecklekit, whose mother was not often around. The two were close friends, and Windkit felt abandoned when she became an apprentice and had less time for him.
But when he was made an apprentice to Silverspring, Frecklepaw and Windpaw spent a lot of time together, with Windpaw being the much more clingier of the two. He always tried his hardest to impress his clanmates, and had an ambitious and reckless streak, and an inflated ego to cover his self-conciousness and neediness. He snuck out to every fight he could, and made sure he earned his name at the same time as Frecklespeckle, just so he wouldn't be alone and so he could prove to his clanmates he was just as strong as her, if not better.
Feeling spurned by his clanmates, he sought love and affection from outside the clans, often frolicking around with rogues, even though he held low opinions of non-clanborn cats and would not hesitate to kill them in a battle. This resulted in him getting pregnant at the start of his warriorship. He attempted to ignore it, and refused to enter the nursery, never taking on the name of a queen. He gave birth while on a hunting patrol, dumped the kits off with Palekit's mother, and then returned back to his hunting patrol. He only named them on a later day after Frecklespeckle and others had pestered him about it, naming them Strongkit and Spottedkit because he recalled one had spots and he thought being strong was everything, so it ought to make a good name too.
His and Frecklespeckle's relationship had started to fracture around this time, as he become more ambitious and mean-spirited while she remained calm and level-headed. She disliked the way he neglected his kits, acting as though they did not exist, and often pushed at his buttons, like telling him how he felt when his WindClan father decided to act as though he and his mother never existed too. After that, Windclaw at least made an effort to check in on the kits, by giving them prey and such, but he still never hung out with them or played with them, or stayed too long.
He was more focused on wanting to rise in the ranks. Dappleapple had become deputy with Palepaw as her apprentice, and it was not long after when the leader before her had been killed- by her own paws, Windclaw always suspected- and Dapplestar was now leader with Silverspring as deputy. Dapplestar had always favored Windclaw as Frecklespeckle's friend, and he knew that she might one day make him deputy, especially as she gave him Beetlepaw from the next litter in the den as his apprentice.
He and Beetlepaw did not always get along well, as she was not one to back down from her morality, and disliked Windclaw's 'rough' nature. Though, she learned to respect- and perhaps fear- him and they got along decently enough. When she became a strong warrior, Windclaw was sure Dapplestar would force Silverspring to the elder's den and make him deputy, but it never seemed to be the case. Even when Windclaw made decisions for the clan as though he was deputy, Dapplestar still backed up Silverspring in the end. It angered him.
When he got Stumpypaw as his apprentice- his own grandson, although he hadn't even realized it at first, he decided to make his move. He lured old Silverspring out of camp with a false scent of rogue. Then, he leaped and pinned her. But before he could make the final blow, Frecklespeckle had come barrelling in and knocked him off. They fought, and in the end, Frecklespeckle was victorious, killing him. His spirit ascended to the Dark Forest, and he watched bitterly as Silverspring retired and Frecklespeckle became deputy.
