I'm posting a few images from the #WindRiverProject which just was released in video (it's linked in my bio if you'd like to watch!) This particular image is one of my favorites; the falls between upper and lower Titcomb Lake. Our group came there to #climb but I found myself more drawn to photography while I was there. It was completely unexpected and I felt pretty bad that it hit me that way. I don't know if it was the birth of my daughter a few weeks before (2014) or if it was just an unforeseeable shift in my interest but since this point I haven't climbed nearly as much or felt the urge to get after it in the vertical world. It's like a switch flipped and from that point I accepted that I'd have to just find the next thing that caught my interest the way #climbing had done. I'm not sure why I'm including this; it's not technically part of the story. I know I had a tough time accepting that shift but once I did, I felt excitement about lots of new things that connect me to the outdoors in different ways. I haven't sold my ropes though, because I know many things that require love also require cyclical focus. I'll be back--and I am pretty sure there will be plenty of rock left to climb when I return!
