Tatiana Arocha’s rainforest landscapes bring an awareness of the strength and vulnerability of the endangered natural world to Midtown Manhattan at the 42nd Street-6th Ave (F/M/B/D) station. The panoramic lightbox and window installations of “Wind Spirits” are rooted in the imagery from Arocha’s native Colombia and are on view right below one of the City’s most verdant green spaces, Bryant Park.
Exploring the strength and vulnerability of nature and its creatures, Tatiana Arocha brings the landscapes of her native Columbian rainforests and endangered ecosystems into the New York City subway station in “Wind Spirits”, a new Lightbox installation made from layered digital paintings and collages, installed at 42nd Street-6th Ave.
