The Many Expressions of Nephthys
Speaking of Egg Bosses, here's another pic of one.
For all the talk of Nephthys' mask being able to match her expression via science, we never really get to see her emote more than a few times (not that it's hard to blame her). This was made to rectify it.

Getting back into the OC swing again with another new Mo-Bird. This time, I felt like doing a Power-type character, and nothing says Power like a big, bombshell bald eagle pro-wrestler gal piledriving guys until they explode! ------------------------------------------------------------- PROFILE NAME: Skyla "Star" the Eagle AGE: 19 HEIGHT: ~4'6'' BIRTHPLACE: Empire City, United Federation ALIGNMENT: Good LIKES: Wrestling, working out, The Bridal Princess (Mobian Princess Bride), Jinx the Magpie DISLIKES: Her mom and grandpa, her father's self-serving tendencies, lying and cheating, Meh Burger Self-help guru, reporter, and TV personality Soar the Eagle is well known for his bombastic personality, penchant for the dramatic, and for being something of a self-serving hypocrite. But, once upon a time, he was a respected and highly successful professional wrestler: Soaring Starflight, the United Federation's undisputed, heavyweight champion. Sadly, like many of his peers, the fame went to Soar's head and he began resting on his laurels. His skill and strength slowly declined as he began focusing more on sponsorship deals and building a media presence over training and fighting, eventually resulting in several crushing losses. After losing his sponsors and a messy divorce with his wife, Soar was left with next to nothing. No wealth, no fame, and only a dwindling number of fans who still respected him, including his daughter, Skyla. Growing up, Skyla's dad was her hero. She wanted to become a wrestler and be as strong and cool as he was, despite everyone else saying that she couldn't due to her gender, the most vocal being her stuffy, overbearing grandfather, Archibald (called Archie for short), who believes she'd be better off focusing on her education. Despite this, Skyla refused to give up and resolved to follow her dream, no matter what; resolve that only intensified after her father's fall from grace and abandonment by the rest of their family. Since then, Skyla's life has been a frantic balancing act. By day, she's a shy wallflower attending Empire City Community College, working to get a degree in Political Science or Medicine like her grandpa wants. But at night, she's a spirited spitfire hitting the gym to build up her muscles or duking it out at the school's wrestling team or in one of Empire City's underground fight clubs, hoping that one day, someone will scout her out and give her the chance to take her father's place in the ring as Star the Eagle, the second Soaring Starflight. Skyla is described as an "interesting contradiction" by those who know her. She juggles two different personas: the sweet, yet reserved student, which she uses at school and around her grandfather. And the boisterous, but playful fighter she acts like in the ring or in private. She also loves her father Soar very much and is one of the few people who will always stick up for him, even as she cringes in embarrassment at his self-serving, fame-hungry attitude. She cares about him because she knows he wasn't always like that, as he was the one who encouraged her to follow her dreams and be proud of who she is, and believes that the old him is still in there somewhere. --------------------------------------------------------------- Soar the Eagle is owned by Sega and OuiDo! Carl aka Twister the Condor Ref Sheet
Sonic OC Time! This time, we got Twister the Condor!
Twister's a weird example of a semi-OC in that he's a reimagining of an existing character.
In the Archie mini-series Sonic Quest, there's a character named Carl Condor who leads a group of called the High Flying Freedom Fighters (named in Ian Flynn's Archie Sonic blog, according to the Sonic News Network). Robotnik captured Carl and Roboticized into Condorbot, and used him to wipe out his team. A pretty sad fate, but unfortunately, Carl is a very minor character. He only appeared in a single issue, was quickly defeated by Sonic, and neither his organic form or team were ever shown.
That got me thinking, what if Carl was given an Adventures-style revamp? Well, I decided to do just that. --------------------------------------------------------- PROFILE NAME: Carl "Twister" the Condor AGE: 25 BIRTHPLACE: Northamer, Great Desert (Peyote Prairie Zone) HEIGHT: 110 cm (3'6'') ALIGNMENT: Good LIKES: Collecting junk and broken machines and building things out of them, rock and heavy metal music, his friends, Lesath the Scorpion. DISLIKES: Dr. Eggman, His real name (What are you talking about? Twister is awesome! ... Carl? Who the heck is Carl!? That's not me!), his mohawk getting messed up, wasting things or throwing things away.
When most people think of condors and vultures, the image of a grim, sinister scavenger chewing on a rotting carcass in the middle of a scorching desert is usually the first thing that comes to mind. Well, while Carl "Twister" the Condor enjoys his dead lizards, and his edgy, metal music, he's actually one of the nicest birds you could hope to meet in the Great Desert.
Born in the backwater, cactus-riddled sands of Peyote Prairie, much of Twister's early life was spent in the Zone's "Junkburg", a scrapyard shantytown where vultures and other scavenging species lived. Growing up on the fringe of polite society, Twister's family didn't have much beyond love and whatever scraps they could scrounge, and very few people who were willing to help them in times of crisis. As a result, the young condor learned three important lessons that he'd carry with him the rest of his life: To never waste anything, as you may prove useful in the future. To use what he had in clever ways, as imagination can make even the old and worn-out new again. And, to never turn away a stranger in need, as it might be you who needs help one day. As a result, Twister has gone on to earn a reputation as a good Samaritan of the sands; a vagabond traveler helping anyone lost out in the scorching sands, whether it's getting them to back to civilization or just sharing some of his water or food (they usually don't eat it, but it's the thought that counts).
Twister is an accomplished survivalist, at least in deserts and canyons of his home; he knows where to find water, how to stay cool, and, most importantly, how to deal with the various Badniks and outlaws roaming the wastes. His secret is that he's a master jerry-rigging, able to make tools, weapons, and even working (albeit short-lived) vehicles out of scrap parts and junk he collects on his treks. But his greatest asset is his optimistic attitude and charming, gregarious personality, which helps him make friends with the most unlikely people. Unfortunately for Twister, his positivity and skill has yet to get him the one thing he wants most in life: a girlfriend; as most women aren't exactly attracted to someone who loves to eat deep fried lizard and armadillo burgers with red bell peppers and caramelized onions.
But, whether you're looking to become his life partner or just someone to help you get through the scorching sands, Twister the Condor is the bird for you! Just don't call him Carl. Sonic Meets the Windstars: Lunch
Sonic treats Zephyr and his crew to lunch, with...less than stellar results.
(Sonic and the Windstar Pirates are having chili dogs at the pier. Zephyr just looks at his chili dog in disgust.)
ZEPHYR What. In Neptune’s name. Is THIS?
SONIC It’s a chili dog.
ZEPHYR Why is it covered in dog food?
SONIC (glares) That’s the chili. It’s good.
ZEPHYR It’s revolting.
SONIC Dude, you haven’t even tasted it!
ZEPHYR Because it’s revolting!
IGGY Zephyr, just eat the [dolphin squeal] hotdog already!
ZEPHYR Absolutely not! It’s wet! And greasy! And it smells like…*sniff*…Eccch!
(Iggy pinches her forehead in exasperation.)
IGGY Uugh…you are such a big baby!
ZEPHYR (gestures dramatically) I am not a baby! I am a man! A man of taste! Stomp and I are both men of taste! And no man of taste would ever allow their lips to touch this...this...culinary abomination!"
STOMP Mmmmmm...
(Stomp is eating the chili dog while writing something down. Zephyr is aghast.)
ZEPHYR Stomp! What are you doing!?
SONIC Looks like he's eating.
IGGY Looks like he's thinking up a recipe too.
ZEPHYR You...traitor.
(Stomp swallows.)
SONIC Well, what do you think, big guy?
STOMP ...
OTHERS ...
STOMP ...[smiles] I like it.
(Zephyr's jaw drops, Sonic pumps his fist, and Iggy laughs.)
IGGY Ahaaahahahahahaaa!
SONIC Glad to hear it, Stomp. I could tell you were a man of taste."
(Sonic turns to Zephyr and gives him the biggest, smuggest grin he can muster.)
SONIC Wouldn't you agree, Zephyr?
ZEPHYR Stai zitto, riccio!*
*Italian for "Shut up, hedgehog!"
