Casey could hardly find the strength to open the door when she finally found home again.  She stood at the door and hesitated.   She tried not to let memories of being beaten or the terrible things those nasty men said to her get to her. Why should she come back to someone who could have been behind this?  She shook the thought away.  Johnny would never do that to her.  Ever.  Still, the fear remained.

She twisted the door handle and stumbled inside.
