I'm not drunk, you're drunk
5.The wine flight cannot be understood as an abuse of the world of tasting, as a product of the techniques of mass dissemination of flavors. It is, rather, a Weltanschauung which has become actual, materially translated. It is a world palate which has become objectified.
as drunken Guy Debord once nearly famously wrote
Day drinking: What vacation is all about. Or any other Monday, depending on how shitty your life is.
We <3 you! Come in with your date tonight for our Blind Tasting Flights and specials for two from Chef Phil.
Big <3 to Tasting Table, too, for this sweet article about the Blind Tasting Happy Hours.
#35: Eat at Aperitivo Bistro
#35: Eat at Aperitivo Bistro
Aperitivo Bistro is located next door to Proctors Theater in Schenectady, at 426 State Street. It's a nice space, with cute blue pendant lights that I rather like. I've been here several times, and each time the food had been very good. I particularly enjoyed the tomato soup (I'm a sucker for soup!), the wine flights, and the small, sharable, Tapas plates. Their wine selection is decent. The wine flights and sharable plates make for a great girls night out or date night before a show at Proctors.
Reservations are recommended on nights when something is going on at Proctors, otherwise this place gets very busy.
For menu selections, a tasting room blog, directions, and hours of operation, visit their website at: http://www.aperitivobistro.com.
Wine Flight at Pravda Bar Dec. 11th 2011
There will be a $20 per person wine flight at Pravda at 1113 Decatur street Dec. 11th starting at 9 p.m. until the wine runs out. If you don't see it happening on the inside then check the beautiful courtyard they have. It's certain to be worth the $20 and more. If there's a large enough turn out Pravda will hopefully let them continue. I used to be a regular patron to Rickilane's wine flights and they are always a treat. Plenty residents are happy to have him back in NOLA and providing his top notch wine flights again.
