I recently came across a little box with some BIG treasures in them. One such treasure was this 2008 Earthworks Barossa Shiraz - Gypsy Black. Open vat fermented and bottled more than a decade ago and it has aged beautifully. It could have gone the other way though, as I was not sure how the wines had been stored, but I am so thankful it survived. Lush dark fruit, hint of savouriness, liquorice and yes, some signs of age.
