Okay so we all know and love Winged!Grace BloodyMary AUs and AUs where they’re both avians or something, but what about Simon being the one with wings and Grace without?
Simon puffing up his wings or trying to tuck them in as much as possible when he feels threatened. Simon with clipped wings that slowly grow back, so when Grace is allowed to touch them, it’s only for short periods. Simon with wings that are covered in dirt and blood and stuff, needing help, but refusing for months until he trusts Grace enough to ask him for help.
And when they get to the biodome?
Simon finally being able to stretch his wings fully! Possibly relearning how to fly with some help.
Grace absolutely wanting to study Simon SOOO BAD, but holds off because Simon would’ve torn his hands off for that in the beginning and now waits patiently if Simon is ever willing to help answer his questions.
Eventual wing cuddles and grooming sessions! Simon ends up resorting to fixing and brushing Grace’s hair to return the favor. Grace almost always laying underneath Simon for cuddles because he doesn’t want to potentially mess up his wings by putting the weight of two humans on them.
