hi thea!! thanks for rb'ing my post, there was something i didn't understand in the movie: was the man prabha saved towards the end the doctor? if it was the doctor, why did he talk about the factory?

hi devika!! so the man that prabha saves is actually a complete stranger. the sequence where he talks about the factory and his longing for her is entirely imagined(in my opinion!). it's a callback to what prabha told anu previously in the movie, where all she really wants is for her estranged husband to come back to her and say that he still wants to be by her side. the scene at the end is the closure she creates for herself, because he was never going to give it to her. so she invents it through this blank slate of a stranger to finally let her marriage go

Pinterest is going to be your best friend I’m ngl. I keep Pinterest boards for my ocs, for certain aesthetics, for colors (super useful if you want the images included to all one color in common), and then I have multiple quotes boards and a board for lyrics

Usually the quotes already have a source attached if not you can always reverse image search or type it into a search engine

And then I just always go in with a theme. Usually it’s a pretty vague idea or I’ll find one quote that I really like and then I’ll find other quotes with similar or connecting ideas. And then imagery that kind of correlates with whatever vibe I’m going for

It’s really a kind of figuring out what you want as you go kind of process, at least for me, but that’s part of the fun

ahh sure i've got a full post here on resources i've used to further my mythological learning and also just look through #resources on this blog (use desktop version of blog, the search system is 10 times better there). also if you're looking for things more poetic, you can't get more poetic than the ancient sources themselves. if you want it in a more poetic style, you can look for translators that have more poetic agendas, or there are translators who make it easy to read with a more modern take on the language (i can't name exact ones but if you look hard enough i'm sure you can find them).
