havent posted in a while but still want to spread shark propaganda

my design for 3d that will be turned into a ceramic tile :3

the assignment is all about composition so it can be very stylized

my instructor said that it couldnt be representative and could only be abstract buuuuut i think i can get away with this QQ

this took like 6 hours only bc i did lineart and was experimenting a lot TT

MEANING

exploring the issue of shark overfishing that is for the purpose of finning sharks

it leads to the death of sharks bc without their fins they sink and cannot swim (most species are required to swim to breathe)

the wings are for the literal "winghead" shark and also to reinforce death by having an angel likeness

the tail of the shark doubles as a fishing hook and the fishing line ties to the head of the shark that has a "cut" mouth that is widened

also the composition of the wings + colorization of the wings doubles as a sort of blood splatter

this assignment was given yesterday btw TT

i keep watching shark documentaries and crying bc i love sharks sm and now im thinking that i should combine my interests to make the ultimate autism trap for me

now i ofc have to try and make this oc a hammerhead shark

OR I COULD HAVE A SEA-SKYWING DRAGON THAT IS JUST INSPIRED BY WINGHEAD SHARKS

i keep thinking about winghead sharks

ive made a connection that cinnamoroll has a similar silhouette to winghead sharks and i pissed off a few friends BUT IM RIGHT AND I LOVE IT

PLS I LOVE SHARKS AND I JUST NEED TO SWIM WITH THEM AND MIND MY BUSINESS (lowkey also thinking of going into marine biology bc i just fucking love marine biology)
