I see a lot of people talking about Regulus's relationship with Kreacher, but nobody talking about Barty's relationship with Winky. Winky was the elf of the Crouch family for generations, but it was just one mistake she didn't even make, and Crouch gave her clothes. Winky looked after Barty while he was trapped at home after the secret escape from Azkaban, and if I remember correctly, she showed affection for Mr. Crouch Jr., but nobody ever talks about it. She convinced him (Mr. Crouch Senior) to let Barty watch the Quidditch World championship, she took the blame for him putting the Dark Mark in the sky, she cared for him tenderly while he was under his father's Imperius Curse. I feel like just because she's an elf she's not that important, so people only talk about elves when they need something and ignore her.
