I need updates on Venus and her pregnancy! I wake up everyday wondering if she's okay and if she's had the babies yet
Venus delivered three babies this morning! (We thought there were four on the x-ray, but one was just very large).
Unfortunately one was stillborn. One baby is a bit small, but mama has been nursing both and it sounds like they're doing well so far. The rescue will step in with supplemental feeding if necessary.
Venus has an enlarged heart so we were very concerned about her having a healthy pregnancy. We're happy she finally delivered. I'll keep y'all updated!

Meet Patrick 💓
He is a 4 year old foster piggie who has been patiently waiting to find his forever home in the DMV area.
Patrick is outgoing and very vocal, curious, and he loves exploring and zooming around during floor time. ✨
Apply to adopt him on our website! 🐾
Hooray for Dino!! 🎉
We are so happy he found a wonderful forever home. Congrats to Dino and his new family! 💗

Meet miss Petunia! 🐹
After pregnancy complications, many vet visits and testing, and a lot of anticipation and anxiety…. we feel confident enough to finally announce the delivery of two healthy piggie babies who were born last week.
Since they are both doing well, we figured it’d be fun to share the family photos. Mama is doing amazing and both babies are growing well each and every day.
Welcome to the world, little ones!! 🤍🤎
🛑 Rabbits are NOT Easter gifts! 🛑
They are sensitive animals who live 10–15 years, and during that time they require consistent attention, proper nutrition, regular veterinary care (with an exotics specialist), and a clean, enriching environment. They’re not ideal pets for young children without active adult involvement, and they are definitely not low-maintenance!
Every year after Easter, shelters and rescues see an increase in abandoned rabbits because people weren’t prepared for the responsibility. That’s not fair to them.
If you’re thinking about bringing a rabbit into your life, we implore you to reconsider if you have not done proper research or are unaware of their husbandry needs. We are here to answer all of your questions, and if you are interested in a rabbit or wanted to foster to see what you would be getting into first, please reach out to us! 🌷🐾
