I could and might actually write an essay about the relationship between Jesse Tuck and Winnie Foster and how interpreting as more romantic (like in the movie) kinda ruins what is such an interesting dynamic and showcase of the way both of them have been stunted (Winnie by her mother coddling her and Jesse by having to hide from society due to his immortality.)
