Kiwi’s Diary
Winter 18, Soup day (Blizzard) – Part 1
I woke up to a snowstorm. Beautiful, but soooooooooooo cold! I decided to leave my tent to look for supplies, this time with my backpack and all the tools.
First, I headed to my usual berry bush; it's a regular stop now. Then, straight to some other ingredients (no, I didn't forget about the promise I made to Melon).
Root Around!! Find winter crops Action Die: 1 → total 3 (foraging 1 + luck 1) Challenge Dice: 2 and 6 Result: Weak Hit ✅/⏳ Promise: Melon’s ingredients. 6/12 Day: 1/4 Roll on winter crops: 63 Raspberry (1)
Winter 18, Soup day (Blizzard) – Part 2
I had a really hard time finding raspberries in all this snow, and I almost forgot about my plants! I went right back to them.
Try Your Best!! Protect the seedlings Action Die: 4 → total 8 (shadow 2 + farming 1 + luck 1) Challenge Dice: 7 and 9 Result: Weak Hit ✅/⏳ Promise: Start farming. 12/12 ✅ COMPLETED!!! * Day: 2/4
* REAP THE BENEFIT Satisfaction + 3 (+ plant seeds: cauliflower, yam, beet, leek, broccoli) Day 3/4
Winter 18, Soup day (Blizzard) – Part 3
Finally, my efforts paid off, and my first seedlings grew! I was so proud of myself. I saved a few seeds to plant again, and I promised myself I'd try to grow these new plants during the growing season. I learned a lot from these first seedlings, and I even learned a few little skills and tricks to help me do even better in the future.
SKILL UPGRADE! Satisfaction (4) → New skills acquired: Barter, Weather Magic
Winter 18, Soup day (Blizzard) – Part 4
Very happy, I returned to the forest to look for some more ingredients.
Root Around!! (x2) Find winter crops Action Die: 3 → total 5 (foraging 1 + luck 1) Challenge Dice: 5 and 1 Result: Strong Hit ✅/✅ Promise: Melon’s ingredients. 8/12 Day: 3/4
Action Die: 1 → total 3 (foraging 1 + luck 1) Challenge Dice: 9 and 7 Result: Miss ⏳/⏳ Promise: Melon’s ingredients. 8/12 Day: 4/4
Winter 18, Soup day (Blizzard) – Part 5
In the end, I searched and searched and searched. I found a few things, but not as many as I'd hoped. It obviously wasn't the right day for it with all this snow. I'll definitely try again in the next few days.

I realized I'd been using the "Public Speaking" skill incorrectly during the first few days of the campaign, so the first opportunity I got, I tried to make up for it by spending satisfaction to get the right skill for trades: "Barter".
I know that in the end, following the rules 100% doesn't really matter, but since I realized it, it's best to fix it.
The second skill "Weather Magic" was a natural consequence of the playing, considering I used a lot of magic to help the plants, it would be logic that I gained a skill on that topic. And it could be very useful in the future for changing the weather, even if only for a few hours a day.
