Help Crown Bubbles Queen of the Winter Carnival!
Bubbles is trying to win a contest to become the Doggie Winter Carnival Queen in Minnesota right now! If she won, Bubbles would get a little blurb in the local papers, walk in the parade, and be crowned at the Doggie Depot event.
I adopted her a few years ago when she got retired from a breeding program and she's been the sweetest girl. She comes into work with me every day and has been given the unofficial title of HR. (It's a real upgrade from her days in PR, puppy resources.) Bubbles can't read yet; but has promised to start working on the ever growing pile of paperwork as soon as she learns!
She loves naps and only occasionally sneaks into the cat's litter box to eat the forbidden kitty cookies. Bubbles also acts as a lifeguard whenever I take a shower and will start crying if I'm in there too long to make sure I don't accidentally drown.
It takes all of 3 clicks to give her a vote and it would mean the world to me if you did!

Image Of The Week
The Ice Palace is almost complete, so that means it's almost Winter Carnival time! This photograph, taken by TB patient Fletcher Durbin, is one of the earliest images of ice palace construction in our collection. It was taken around 1911, and shows workers using a horse-drawn lift to raise ice blocks. Thanks to our awesome IPW crew, past and present! Happy Carnival, everyone!

I knew there had to be one of two with Archie making Veronica, with Betty throwing snowballs at Archie for it. Notable these two were done before the Betty one (and decades later cover reprise) -- late 60s drew Betty into overall a more equal partner. The sculptures Archie made of Betty, I should note, are much much larger -- though at least one seems to be on consignment.
In terms of narration, this precedes the "Grundy as Snow Queen" one -- or, this is from where her animus on knowing they have a history for this comes. I do ask what Jughead is doing with this one.
