Trying the pale oak wood from the upcoming Winter Drop:

It goes really nicely with crimson wood? There's a faint pink tone to the white of the stripped wood, and a faint purple to the unstripped, that goes really well with the purple of the crimson wood.

And calcite. The walls here are calcite and stripped pale oak. Also, I really like the unstripped log texture.

The pale moss carpets growing up the walls is also an excellent texture, and I wish normal moss did it as well.

I'm genuinely excited for this. A white wood is a fantastic addition!

Eerily Gazing Blossoms

My Minecraft OC-sona, Wander, with a bunch of Eyeblossoms, varying between closed and open variants. One blossom appears to align well with her right eye.

Don't worry, she's not under its influence. I thought it'd be cool to make her other eye glow like the flowers for the eerie vibe of the picture.

I really am enjoying the sort of desaturated palette the pale blocks from the upcoming Winter Drop gives you. Have a spooky pale house for Halloween!

(Ignore the fact that this is made in a clearly plains flatworld with bright green grass in the background)

Here's a nicer, more intimate shot with the trees for atmosphere.

For the bottom floor, I'm using alternating Pale Oak logs and Acacia Logs (unstripped), with a Basalt trim on the bottom. For the second floor, I'm using Stripped Pale Oak logs and Smooth Quartz, again alternating, with a Pale Oak Wood trim. For the roof, I'm using Tuff with Pale Moss mixed in, and an Andesite chimney.

Then sprinking liberally with Pale Moss Carpet, Pale Hanging Moss, Pale Oak Leaves, Glow Lichen, Pale Moss, Pale Oak Saplings, Wither Roses and then Pitcher Plants and Soul Lanterns for a pop of colour.

The silvery grey-white tone of the whole thing is fabulously spooky. In an actual Pale Forest biome, it'd probably be even more spectacular.
