Camping with beer . . .
Camping @Idyllwilld, having a few brews. And this one time, at beer camp . . .
COOKIES WITH YOUR LAGER? MADE ONLY WITH THE FINEST SAMUEL ADAMS.
PIC INFO: Spotlight on a promotinal images and a sugar cookies recipe using Samuel Adams Winter Lager, c. fall/winter 2020 -- "Toast the Holiday Season with New Samuel Adams Winter Lager and Seasonal Brews."
PIC(S) #3 & #4: More Samuel Adams Winter Lager promotional images. Boston Beer Company.
MINI-OVERVIEW: "Samuel Adams brewers have reformulated the storied Winter Lager to bring drinkers a crisper and brighter experience with every sip. Featuring an enhanced crisp bock recipe and amplified orange notes inspired by the season, the deep ruby brown beer features hints of seasonal spices that complement its rich, caramel maltiness with just a touch of bitterness and a hint of citrus in the finish that brings a festive flavor to any holiday celebration.
PART II: “As one of the first seasonal beers we brewed over 30 years ago, Winter Lager was inspired by the unique flavors and festivities of the holiday season that bring drinkers together,” said Jim Koch, Samuel Adams Founder and Brewer. “Constantly optimizing our recipes in pursuit of better beer, Samuel Adams brewers revisited the complex profile of this long-loved beer to create a crisper and brighter Winter Lager that boasts the spice and citrus flavors of the season with a malty finish and greater drinkability.”

Sam Adams Winter Lager
Not bad, it has a nice crispy element to it without being too hoppy like an IPA. Not really a sweet or major malty element like an autumn time beer. There's nothing rough or bitter about it, but then again, it didn't have any distinct notes that made it stand out from the rest. Not bad at all, and very easy to drink, but nothing that made me go "WOW THIS IS AMAZING!" 3/5
Snacks were great back home. I got some great Sam Adams and I got some cheese, olives, pickles and nuts to snack on. You can get Sam Adams in Japan but only the regular kind and it’s more expensive since it’s an import. In the states there are a lot of seasonal releases and they are so good. I love the winter lager.
Samuel Adams Winter Lager
Appearance: Clear, light amber, no carbonation
Aroma: Slightly hoppy, citrus, but I (Meg) am literally sticking my nose in it to get a whiff. Meg: unimpressed. Dad: not unimpressed.
Taste: Spicy, citrus, tangy, hard to pull out individual spices (cinnamon, ginger, orange peels according to the label)
Does the Label Lie? Claims: A lager brewed with spices No, the label does not lie. Sam Adams delivers a lager brewed with spices, just as promised.
Other Notes: We are drinking this two months past the freshness date on the bottle, so it deserves another go around.
Does Mom Like It? It's okay.
Would You Buy It Again? Meg: No Tom: Yes
Overall: *** 1/2 (Ratings out of 5)
