Nobody warns you the true horrors of making socks; once you've finally finished making one, you have to make a second. This is completely unforeseeable.

WRT current discussions. I'm always in this cycle of make new account because I miss being able to connect with others who are physically nonhuman -> get reminded of how unwelcoming it can be and get treated like im taking it all too seriously -> stop posting and/or just delete the account because it feels pointless. End part of a draft from september sums up my feelings well:
It gets lonely. I don't know where else to look. People misinterpret this feeling, act as though I'm belittling or invalidating them for acknowledging the fact we ARE different. Nobody is lesser than me for being nonhuman(etc) in a different way to me. I do not believe that and would never suggest that. There are things we can relate to each other with and that's great! I just hate feeling like I've found someone with the same experiences to me, knowing their biology is not that of a human, knowing they are a changeling, only to realise it's not literal for them when it IS reality for me. Idfk. If other people passively existing makes you feel insecure in your own identity, that's for you to sit with, analyse and handle. I do genuinely feel for anyone who has to deal with self-doubt, I do too. It's terrible. But It's not the fault of those others, and definitely not something they should be punished for.
(The tone of the draft is a little harsh. Apologies. It was just typed out to vent my frustrations.)
Goinv to get over my fear of being perceived and write up some longer posts about my Self , my changelinghood , my species and all :) soon. Idk what tags to use but it's whateevr
Will jump for joy the day tumblr adds an app feature to disable coloured text in posts T_T
Sloane. It/that or mirror pronouns. 21. I'm an arctic fox that gained (and then lost) the ability to shapeshift. I consider myself physically both human and nonhuman. Some people would consider me plural, I just consider myself a vessel for wandering spirits.
Nice to meet you!
I struggle to read coloured text / non default fonts / text on images, so will likely not follow back people who primarily use these without plain text versions, sorry!

A family member gifted me a taxidermy arctic fox tail, from around the 80's :") I love it so much. It's so beautiful and so soft. It feels amazing to have something from another of my species who lived before me, possibly even died before my parents were born. Almost like having guidance from an older generation of fox.
