(Author's Notes)

Time passes as winter advances.

Panel 1: Imogen works in a stable, contentedly grooming a horse.

Panel 2: Laudna adjusts the fit on a new winter coat she is sewing for Imogen.

Panel 3: The cottage is decorated for Winter's Crest. Wearing matching pajamas (including a nightcap for Pâté) Laudna and Imogen are sitting by the stove. Imogen is examining her present from Laudna, an embroidered haversack which she is delighted to find is more roomy on the inside than it appears.

Panel 4: A light snow is falling as they head home in the evening. Imogen, carrying some library books, is wearing her new coat. Laudna, wearing a red hood and cloak, is bending behind her to gather a handful of snow into a snowball.

Panel 5: They sit on the roof of their house, bundled up against the cold as they watch a meteor shower. Ruidus is conspicuously absent from the sky.

I feel like this is vital information for you to know.

It's sung in character from the pov of characters from all 3 previous Main Exandria campaigns, so there are some spoilers in it.

Under the cut, because I am civilised like that- But I will say go look up this album even if you've never heard of Critical Role in your life, it is seriously delightful

Ok so-

The no gos: obviously, all the songs that explicitly refrence d&d shenanigans like unded lesbians or decorating a bear: Twelve Days of Grogmas, Deck the Bear, Cold Inside, O Mighty Nein

The ones you could get away with, if people are distracted: Winter's Crest Festival Time and It's Critmas (ok, soI know the first one is more obvious than the other, but there are so manny nonsense Christmas songs that kind of sound like well-known songs but differ slightly, I think most people who don't know CR will just assume that this is some bizzare off-brand jingle-bells and not give it a second thought)

The seamless additions: Naughty & Nice, Nothin' Under the Tree, Silent Mind, Winter Anymore (the first two are just plain bangers, Silent Mind can pass for a cozy secular/inclusive cover of slient night, bonus if it pisses off any guests with a stick up their ass. Winter Anymore works well, but only include it if you have some degree of emotional stoicism, because if you break down in tears it might put a damper on the festive fun)
